![]() ![]() They curve more when there is less focus. It's not easy to compare accuracy and focus, because particles always come out pointed directly at the target, but then start to curve. Focus is what PACs use instead of accuracy. It also feels foolish to me not to set the charging time up to 10 seconds, as DPS and power consumption are held constant, but you get extra focus out of charging for longer. One reason to deviate from this though is that if you use all 5 arms and use lenses on the ends, you can make it so thatwhen the business end of you PAC gets shot up, it doesn't wreck itself/your ship on subsequent firings. You get four times the damage for the same volume. The reason I like input ports is that they quadruple the damage of a given arm, so it feels to me foolish not to use them. The Length of an arm increases both energy consumption and damage output, and they are strictly linear with each other, so all other things being equal, double size gets you double damage. ports with nothing attached to them will do nothing, so don't worry about wrecking your ship. ![]() I'm really partial to using the main cannon with 2 loopback arms. ![]()
